Jaizha Oliphant

  My name is Jaizha Oliphant and I am a recent graduate from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Interior Design. I was born and raised in Dallas, TX and graduated from Naaman Forest High School in 2017.  As an emerging design professional, I plan to become a socially conscious designer that focuses on social equity, environmental responsibility, and improving the built environment through my work. After graduation, I plan to become a licensed, CIDA certified Interior Designer. I aspire to work for a design + architectural firm that will give me the opportunity to work on adaptive reuse and historic preservation projects in the hospitality sector. This career path will allow me to express my passion for history and design by repurposing the built environment in an innovative and meaningful way. Interior design has given me a newfound worldview and as a designer, I hope to be able to implement that view through my work and foster positive change in the built environment.
